Building Mumbai

Being a Civil Engineer, I have fascination for buildings, structurally as well as aesthetically. For more than past two years I've been working in Mumbai with Shapoorji Pallonji Co. Ltd. through which I had the opportunity to visit a lot of our Projects.
Following are a few Photographs that I have taken while roaming around the City of Mumbai.

Heavens and the Underworld
I stumbled upon this place while I was riding along the Palm Beach Road just after Vashi.

New Building coming up in Vashi.
This Building caught my eye just because of the Broken Sky effect.

Motilal Oswal Tower, Mahim,Mumbai
The Red caught my eye when I was waiting for the traffic signal to go Green.

Most of them are taken by Iphone 5 while commuting through the city.

Hope you like the Pictures.
More on the Way.

9:15 and The Clock

Everyday taking the 9:15am train from Vashi is an endeavour in itself. One may or may not get place to even stand properly forget about sitting. But still people dont give up easily, may they be old or young, they just cling on. The crowd is like water in a moving glass, it keeps spilling some at every stop. And finally at CST the glass is empty.

The 40 year old made in London Clock watches over this flow of water trying to find way to its respective destinations and smiles i.e. 10:10am. I dont know how many people look up at the Clock, most of them are busy checking their smart phones, some of them are telling their bosses that they are just outside the office and at the same time getting their shoes polished. Just Amazing.

The Man with the Arrow is missing

There are few things one remembers about their childhood. One of few things I remember watching from my grandparents house in Mumbai is the "The Man with the Bow and Arrow" on top of Air India Builiding. That archer was the symbol/logo of Air India Airlines from 1940s to 2007, when they took it down.Best part was that neon light used to rotate.

Quiet side of Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus

I travel on the Harbour line daily, but only on rare occasions I go to the other side of Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai. This particular picture shows platform 13 at 2000 hours on a Sunday.
