I travel on the Harbour line daily, but only on rare occasions I go to the other side of Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai. This particular picture shows platform 13 at 2000 hours on a Sunday.
If Mumbai is an organism, CST is it's heart, continuously thumping, with millions of Mumbaikar's, with all their hopes and aspirations passing through it's portals. Yet sometimes it too needs a bit of rest, so that come another day it may start it's hectic thumping once again!
When i see the crowded stations and the rush of people i remember what Einstein said "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving"...and that is what Mumbaikars are known for ...they keep moving on...and certainly a true Mumbaikar will notice the silence in the above pic!
